My home-renovation solo show

Synopsis: Mike has one shot to become the host of America’s next big home renovation show. All he has to do is film the pilot while flipping the most disgusting house he’s ever seen. In 5 days. By himself. Between dodging vermin and wrangling producers, Mike finds an unhinged diary that changes everything. Though it may not sound like it, The Property Papa is a memior-esque solo show that blends sketch comedy and stand-up to dissect a moment when Rebecca, the performer, was slapped in the face by a betrayal she never saw coming.

Development so far: In January 2025, The Property Papa began a six-month development process as part of Solas Nua’s inaugural Show in a Bag program. During this period, Gavin Kostick (Fishamble: The New Play Company) and Mekala Sridhar (Solas Nua) provided dramaturgical feedback and support. The program culminated in a public sharing on September 6 at Eaton House where audience feedback forms were collected.
